Haunted Museum

Friday, October 26 at 8 p.m. Admission is $3.00 per person. Members are free.

Come to the Historical Society as the museum takes on an eerie aura with darkened corridors, story tellers take to the stage to recount brutally realistic accounts of gruesome crimes and strange events from Otter Tail County’s past. Stories include the psychotic ramblings of an ax murderer from Effington Township; the quixotic poetry of a young man as he awaits the gallows; and the tragic tale of a local madame caught in a deadly love triangle. If this were not enough, the evening concludes with an event that, more than any other in county history, had become legend. It is one of those stories that has taken on a life of its own. Everyone talks about it, but no one knows what really happened. The Pig Farm Murder will be told as it actually occurred in 1887–with all the gruesome details.

Who needs a Hollywood horror film when you can visit the Haunted Museum on Friday, October 26 at 8 p.m.???
